The heart and soul of Shiny Happy World is in the archives. There are hundreds of free patterns and tutorials and it’s easy to be overwhelmed by all the information. Every Friday I share just a manageable sliver – a peek at what was happening during the same week of every year since the start of Shiny Happy World. This is Week 9.

I love your story about mopping the floor. My mom washed her kitchen floor at least once a week on Saturday…no matter how tired she was. But, that did not rub off on me. My daughter is grown with 3 boys and is a much more meticulous housekeeper than I, but when she was 5 or 6, she found me on my knees washing up the kitchen floor & said something similar to your daughter. It still makes me laugh to this day. Good to know I’m not alone. 😀
